What is Advanced Electrolysis or advanced cosmetic procedures?

The Skinologist offers advanced Electrolysis/advanced cosmetic procedures for effective and safe blemish removal. Advanced Electrolysis is a treatment that uses a Thermolysis current and a very fine needle. Depending on the type of blemish being treated, we either cauterize or lift away the superficial epidermis.

How long does Advanced Electrolysis take to heal?

The healing time after Advanced Electrolysis treatment varies depending on the individual and the treated area. Generally, you can expect some redness, swelling, and minor scabbing immediately after the procedure. These side effects typically subside within a few days to a week. It is essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided by Fiona to promote faster healing and minimize any potential discomfort. Depending on the blemish, you may need follow-up treatments. All aftercare is provided in the cost of the treatment.

Is Advanced Electrolysis safe?

Yes, Advanced Electrolysis is a safe and well-established method for blemish removal. Electrolysis has been used for more than 100 years to treat problems such as broken capillaries, spider naevi and warts. It has progressed dramatically with the ongoing development of modern technology and is a simple and safe technique.  Fiona has undergone specialist training with Sterex the market leader in this area. She adheres to strict hygiene standards and uses sterilized equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Prior to the procedure, a comprehensive consultation is conducted to assess your suitability and address any concerns or contraindications.

Does Advanced Electrolysis hurt?

During Advanced Electrolysis treatment, you may experience a mild sensation similar to a slight pricking or heat sensation. The level of discomfort varies depending on individual sensitivity and the treated area. However, measures will be taken by Fiona to ensure your comfort during the procedure.
