How to get rid of your Mummy Tummy

How to get rid of your Mummy Tummy.

Well, I don’t know if you can relate to this, but I’ve had two children (two very big boys), and my tummy stretched a lot while I was pregnant. I did everything I could to get myself back into shape when I was ready, including lots of exercises and eating the right diet, which is really important. It’s a question I get asked a lot, how can I get rid of mummy tummy?

But there’s always that bit of skin that you just can’t do anything about. And that little bit of fat that you hold on to, no matter what you do. It just sits there like a little pouch, and you can’t get rid of it.

At one point, I was considering having a tummy tuck. But that’s a big decision to make. It’s quite an invasive operation with a long recovery time and I just didn’t want to put myself through it.

So, inspired by the incredible results I’ve achieved for clients on their faces, and the wonderful success we saw with Mandy’s arms, I started thinking…

What can we do for the Mummy Tummy?

I’ve discovered that there’s a combination of treatments that works really well for the tummy:

  1. Radiofrequency skin tightening

This treatment uses heat to encourage your body’s own production of new collagen and elastin and it helps with tightening and smoothing out the skin. But on its own, it doesn’t deliver enough of a result because you often have little stretch marks, and your skin can sometimes be a little bit wrinkly.

  1. Micro-needling and mesotherapy

So along with Radio Frequency, I would also add Microneedling and Mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy provides the skin with deep, dermal hydration using a ‘cocktail’ of products and serums such as hyaluronic acid, amino acids, and peptides.  For the tummy, I’d concentrate on the mesotherapy treatments that are really going to help to smooth out the skin and work on stretch marks. Microneedling uses small needles to prick the skin. This pricking action creates a natural healing response from your own skin, generating collagen and skin tissue. It really does work for stretch marks and also helps to boost the radio frequency skin tightening treatment.

  1. Ultrasonic Cavitation

Now if you have a little bit of fat in the tummy area too, you could also add Ultrasonic Cavitation. This is a non-invasive therapy that quickly breaks down fat, removes cellulite and lifts and tones your skin using advanced ultrasound technology. If you think of the fat cells as grapes, and you put pressure on them they will eventually burst, and the juice inside will escape.  This is what’s happening to your fat cells, hence the fat reduction. Your fat is going into your lymphatic system where you will then wee it out! This may sound painful but it’s actually totally painless. You will lose inches instantly. With no downtime or surgery involved. This is a permanent fat loss method – you just need to make sure you don’t pile on the pounds afterwards!

If you combine all these treatments, you might not have the same look as surgery would give you, but you are certainly going to have a really improved tummy area.

With Summer just a couple of months away, I know you’re going to start getting your swimwear out. Perhaps my Mummy Tummy treatment will mean you don’t have to have that bikini dread?
