What Is Fusion Mesothereapy

Introducing Fusion Mesotherapy

I’ve been performing mesotherapy now in many different forms for over 10 years and have been watching a company called Fusion Mesotherapy for probably the last five years.

Recently I decided that I was going to take the plunge. The quality of their products and the results are so good, that I’ve switched my brands to Fusion Mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy has grown in popularity over the last few years. When I first started offering the treatment 10 years ago, many people didn’t know what it was. But now more and more people are becoming aware of its benefits. It’s popular in other European countries, and they often use it instead of fillers and Botox. As it improves the health of the skin and manages to get active ingredients deeper within the skin than any cosmetic could ever do. A lot of the off-the-shelf creams and products that we apply to the skin, do not penetrate beyond the first layer of the dermis and have little impact on the health and growth of the skin.

How does mesotherapy work?

Mesotherapy is a technique that uses very fine needles to deliver a series of injections into the skin. The injections contain different combinations of vitamins, enzymes, and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin.

Mesotherapy is so successful because it works on something called dermal circulation.

Dermal circulation is a complex maze of vessels in the dermis. The dermis is the middle layer of your skin and is very active as it contains connective tissue, blood vessels, nerves, and hair follicles. This layer helps with the moisture of your skin, the collagen, and the growth of elastin.

Getting a product into the dermis is helpful as it acts as the first port of call for the growth of new skin cells and if you can get enough nutrients in there, you can then start to grow lovely healthy corneocyte cells.

The corneocyte cells help to form the ‘roof’ of the skin – the barrier function of the skin, which I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about frequently. Once you start to get a healthy barrier, you start to see true skin health.

The absorption of mesotherapy occurs through the blood and lymphatic vessels. So you only need to use small amounts of active ingredients to get the results you require.

I use small amounts of different vitamins, amino acids and growth factors depending on what the skin needs to help it grow effectively and to get the results that we need. The best method for getting this within the skin is something called Fractional Mesotherapy which uses a combination of Micro-needling with mesotherapy to get the actives a lot further into the skin and the dermis.

What if you don’t like needles…

Don’t worry – there are other ways to get the mesotherapy into the skin.

You can have something called Nano-needling, which is nothing like micro-needling. Nano-needling uses tiny balls to push and penetrate the products into the skin.

There’s also no-needle mesotherapy which is how I originally started delivering mesotherapy. This uses ultrasound to push the product into the skin.

If you’ve got a more reactive skin, and you’re worried about needles or micro-needling for whatever reason then nano-needling or no-needle mesotherapy could be the right choice for you.

How many treatments do you need?

You need about six treatments of mesotherapy, roughly two weeks apart depending on how deeply the product is administered. Treatments could be up to a month apart if the needling is quite deep.
